Brook House really impressed me! The moment I arrived, I was greeted with a lovely cup of tea, which set a warm tone for my stay. Liz and Graham are fantastic hosts. They provided great local walking recommendations like Orrest Head, which had stunning views. The room was spotless, with cozy furnishings and a flat-screen TV. I enjoyed the delicious breakfasts every morning with options like perfectly cooked veggie sausages. It felt like a real treat! I did experience some minor issues. There were some noise disturbances from the hallway at night, which could be bothersome for light sleepers. While the breakfast was fantastic, I felt it might be limited for longer stays since variety could be an issue if you stay more than a few nights. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience felt personalized and homely. I would happily return during my next visit to the Lake District!

The hosts were incredibly welcoming, turning a simple stay into a delightful experience. Breakfast options were varied and delicious, perfectly cooked to individual taste, making each morning feel special.
Some rooms felt cramped, which challenged comfort for multiple occupants. a few guests reported occasional Wi-Fi issues, impacting access while exploring the area.

The breakfast is a highlight, with a customizable menu that includes perfectly cooked veggie sausages and a variety of cereals. Plus, the separate downstairs room for ironing and a heated air dryer adds a thoughtful touch to the experience.
Some rooms, particularly on the top floor, feel cramped, making it a squeeze for more than one guest. Wi-Fi reception could use an upgrade, as it struggled at times, impacting travel plans. Lastly, a few accommodations were missing more power outlets, making it tricky to charge devices without unplugging something.

We had a blast exploring local gastro gems like Hooked and Café Italia, where fresh Mediterranean bites got our taste buds dancing. Liz and Graham made our stay unforgettable with heartwarming chats and scrumptious breakfasts, while the spotless rooms added to our cozy escape.
The mattress had a dip on one side (looks like it’s seen its share of cuddles), making it a challenge for two to find comfort. Still, everything else sparkled and shone like a bright star in the Lake District sky.

Cozy and welcoming stay!
Really enjoyed my stay! Liz and Graham were super friendly and went outta their way to make us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious with tons of options. Loved the special dietary menus too! Our room was clean and spacious, but we could hear a bit of noise from the hallway at night, so maybe bring earplugs.

Had an amazing time! The breakfast was top-notch with loads of options, and I absolutely loved lounging in the pretty garden area and the cozy sunroom. Just a heads up, some minor hallway noise could be heard at times, but it didn’t spoil the overall enjoyment. 😊
